The rooms are very basic but cleanly maintained with good A/C. Bathrooms are clean host-family was quite helpful. Clean, friendly, good service and food and well priced.This is budget hotel, rooms are big, staff friendly and the lawns good.

The Brown Palace is a wonderful hotel with old world charm and tradition. It is a classy place rich with history. We have stayed several times for special occasions over the years and we always go for high tea at Christmas time, It would be happy to stay there again.

Clean, friendly, good service and food and well priced. This is an oasis in the midst of the boulevard. It has a lovely garden and mountain views, yet it is only a few steps from the lake. Rooms are large and well maintained. Staff were very helpful and kind.

Absolutely beautiful!! The best part about the place was its location- its located away from the main market at a very calm and quiet place with the river flowing right outside. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious.

There was a big group of people travelling together so they told us to go to our rooms and served us very good food away from the group. Rooms had a good mountain view and opened into the garden which is quite well maintained.

THERE IS A LOT OF VARIETY OF KASHMIRI DISHES IN THE FOOD MENU OF BROWN PALACE HOTEL. THE FOOD IS VERY EXPENSIVE BUT ARE QUICKLY DELIVERED TO THE HOTEL ROOM.

THE ONLY NEGATIVE POINT OF THE BROWN PALACE HOTEL IS THAT THE HOTEL ROOMS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE AS COMPARED TO THE OTHER HOTELS IN THE CITY AND THE FOOD IS ALSO EXPENSIVE.
