Money and glamour.The game is larger than life because of money and glamour.The game is interesting but hockey is interesting as well.I wish for glory days in hockey again.

Because Cricket is more exciting game than Hockey and we can play cricket with only two or three persons in a small ground but we can't play Hockey in our roof or corridor. and for playing Hockey we need about more than 6 or 7 people

Cricket attracts more glamour and more vibrant media presence.Hockey lost the plot in 90's and cricket became omnipresent.We still love to watch hocket but i doubt if given a choice any of us will choose hockey over cricket for playing.

Yeah, I also hope that this is not a new trend. Indian government is only concerned where larger scale of profits are earned. Cricket has become an unofficial national game of India. Hockey's name is only found in the register books without any shine anymore. It needs to be revitalised with dynamic guidance and coaching, trainings etc. Then certainly India can again bring back its Dhyanchand vigor of old days!

I'm an Indian and in India 99 % of population like cricket its a game which every

Well, it doesn't makes much difference. Hockey was chosen as National Game because it gave pride to India at that time. Cricket is the National Game of Britain but Football is much famous there.

Cricket is the passion of Indians and love it more than anything just because we all find it much exciting than hockey. Mostly, People prefer Cricket instead of Hockey because they find it tedious .

Hockey is our National Game and we should be proud of it. But people are forgetting its importance. Hockey is the game which made India Famous in Sports all over the world. WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF HOCKEY.

We people are crazy about cricket and we focus on what we like and not for which game is our national gamee if hockey players played well and if they had brought any one cup to India in international game then I can say that little people might like hockey.

Cricket is not detrimental to other sports its just that we have good batsmen in India who hits big shots no one cares for bowlers in other sports its not big lengthy as cricket. So other sports should have famous recognized players to make it famous.
