Dishonest and complete cheating. My Honda City car ignition key had got jammed in the ignition . The Malwa mechanic took it out in a jiffy , somehow. Then he told me that he will replace the plastic casing of the key as same was cracked. Next I knew he starting making a new metal key (without asking me). The electronic components were not changed but placed in the new casing. The Malwa owner told me to pay Rs 1000/-. On questioning as to what are these high charges for, I was told that the old key is 'worn out'. When I objected that why was I not told of the charges, his reply was that it is the customers duty to ask the price. Incidentally , no rate list is displayed of other items being sold in the shop or tax rates etc . I have not got a proper receipt other than the Debit Card transaction receipt on his machine for Rs 1000/-.
