Believe the reality and expect the unexpected when you enter much publicized, so called "world leaders in coffee outlets" ie Starbucks, Connaught Place.
The hype created overshadows the reality. The interior is rather distinct from the regular coffee shops you visit in town; the long table placed with chairs placed at the front and the soothing ambience will immediately catch your attention but the overcrowded café and the "the coffee" which is my major concern, is a big-time turnoff.
We scanned their ranging menu, from frappes to espressos to everything and orderede Caramel Frapuccino, Believe the reality and expect the unexpected when you enter much publicized, so called "world leaders in coffee outlets" ie Starbucks, Connaught Place.
The hype created overshadows the reality. The interior is rather distinct from the
Iced Café Mocha and Lemon Cheesecake ( got all that in time, no problems theree Well Coordinated staff)
The whipped cream on top of the frappe was not at all fresh, floating separately (got it changed). It took me more than half an hour to finish it. To my surprise, the Iced Café Mocha tasted nice or atleast like a decent coffee. The cake was another disaster. The lemon syrup let down the very charm of the fresh creamy cake.
The prices are decent enough. They are almost at par with Costa coffee or Café coffee day. For me, Starbucks didn't live up to its international standards. They should rather focus on improvement in more relevant things than expanding their chains in India.
All in all, a not so wow experience.
Coffee: 4/10
Service: 9/10

Walking through the constrictive gullies of hauz khas village, trying to explore some new restaurant this time, we came across this "Indo-Pak" cuisine place which was actually situated right at the front of the village. The scorching heat of the sun and my severe desire for delicious food brought my taste buds to this impeccable place. The interiors, food, music- it definitely has certain zest in it which makes it different from all other food joints at HKV or rather Delhi.
The giant windows with view of the monument and the squirrels chasing each other kept me entertained. The sitting is made comfortable with a touch of gold velvet on every table. The pleasing soft music at the background goes perfectly with the aura of the place.
The menu had some intriguing elements; Galouti kebab, Paneer Tikka; to start with. It was mildly spicy but cooked just the way it should be. In the main course, we ordered Khumb Hara Dhaniya Pyaz Wala, Murg Rara and khasta roti. The chicken was soft, tempting and juicy. The gravy was cooked to its absolute flavor. Feeling a little apprehensive while going for the vegetarian dish, it astonished me equally. Flavors were coming beautifully out of this dish. Appealing Food Presentation.
Special Mention: The complimentary papads served with three different styles of chutneys at the very initial stage keeps one engaged as they wait for the food to be served.
Though the service was a little slow and the prices are a little on the higher side but I wouldn't mind spending a few extra bucks for such mouth watering, value for money food. Recommend it totally.

An empty stomach and hunger for good food are the pre-requisites for this particular place because in the next few hours, they are going to stuff you with some mouth watering delicacies. One must ensure to bring along a person who has a huge appetite and is fond of food, to be able to do justice to the price offered on the buffet.
The ambience here remains cheerful and delighted as a large number of college goers and family people visit this place more. The pleasant colours used in its décor are soothing to the eye. One would find smiling faces, praising the food, hopping from one section to another to try each and every kebabs, so that nothing goes out of hand. The concept of Barbeque Grill on the table itself was very appreciable; I don't get to see this otherwise at other food joints.
Beginning with the non veg starters, the Tangri kebab and Fish steaks were the ultimate ones. As you wait for the kebabs on sticks being roasted till the time it gets a golden color, crunchy outside and juicy inside, cooked to the absolute flavor is something to die for. I even tried a few veg starters of which grilled soya gluten and mushroom steaks would the most preferred ones.
The main course offers a wide variety of North Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines. I had a bit of all the dishes and Chicken dum Biryani, Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce took my heart away. I wouldn't recommend pastas and Thai curry as they couldn't make an impact. The main course is a disappointment for the vegetarians.
But the desserts are the cherries on the top. The gulab jamuns are soft and melts in the mouth. The ice creams were average but the cakes will put you in a fix.
The prices have been charged reasonably in accordance to the variety and diversity in food. Barbeque Nation definitely meets the expectations of a foodie.
